Lazarus Entertainment Group operates two major attractions in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. A General Manager position is available at Myrtle Waves Waterpark to oversee waterpark operations. Candidates should have prior waterpark experience and will be responsible for guest safety and satisfaction, staff management, and park profitability. The General Manager will lead strategic planning, manage personnel, ensure guest service quality, and supervise park maintenance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Manage daily waterpark activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA, legal requirements, and company policies. Supervise Aquatics, Guest Services, Maintenance, Park Services, and Food and Beverage operations.
- Team Member Leadership: Recruit, train, and oversee managers, supervisors, lifeguards, and support staff. Promote teamwork, communication, and professional development.
- Guest Experience: Develop strategies to improve guest satisfaction, including implementing programs, events, and promotions. Address feedback and resolve issues promptly.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor annual budgets, track financial performance, and apply cost-control strategies. Assess revenue streams and seek growth opportunities.
- Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with marketing staff to create promotional campaigns and increase attendance. Build relationships with local businesses and organizations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards. Review safety protocols, conduct staff training, and manage emergency procedures.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance team to maintain attractions and facilities. Schedule inspections and handle repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of management experience in the entertainment, hospitality, or recreation industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with waterpark operations, safety regulations, and guest service practices
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in budgeting and cost management
- Proficient communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
