Producing tours for Grammy award-winning artists, selling out international soccer matches, and working with marquee brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Wrigley, and Johnson & Johnson have helped establish CMN as a pioneer in the multicultural, experiential marketing industry.
But the connections that make us effective and insightful are the ones we have with consumers.
Our fan-first philosophy comes from company founder Henry Cárdenas. CMN was founded in 2002 by the philanthropist and pioneer. With over 30 years of experience in live event production, Cárdenas created CMN with the vision of creating and expanding the Latin entertainment market in the United States.
Today, CMN is the largest producer of Latin Music concerts in the United States.
From humble beginnings in Chicago in the ‘70s, when the recent Colombian emigrant booked concerts in church basements for fellow college students, Cárdenas recognized a need for Latin entertainment that truly reflected the culture.
Constantly breaking new ground, Cárdenas created Chicago’s first ever Pan-American music festival in 1985, brought Lionel Messi and the Argentine national team stateside, and booked a string of sell-outs at Madison Square Garden that still stand as some of the most successful Latin music events ever in the United States. His personal connection to the Latin community has been a guiding force for more than three decades. As the former co-founder and partner of CFA, Cárdenas combines his expertise and passion for live music, sports, and experiential marketing to sell out arenas around the world.
With headquarters Chicago — described as a “Latin American version of the Hard Rock Cafe” by the Chicago Tribune due to its immense collection of sports and music memorabilia from hundreds of sold-out shows around the globe — CMN currently has offices in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.
CMN consists of more than 100 full-time marketers and 400 bilingual professionals. A national marketing force with international connections, CMN produces more than 2,500 live events of all sizes every year, from street-level events that deliver one-on-one engagement, to mobile marketing activation programs that travel across the U.S.
We know consumers in an intimate way – we are on the streets, creating experiences, seeing trends, talking and engaging with consumers in a unique way. We are the eyes and the ears for our brands – we know exactly what consumers want because we are there, engaging with them directly.
